Welcome to Hootenanny Owls, Inverclyde's only bird of prey facility. We are a non for profit, volunteer run, organisation. We are currently looking for a new home, following the withdrawal of our lease with the Finlaystone Estate.
We are now home to more than 60 birds, including more than 20 different species of owls, Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and even an Australian Kookaburra.
We pioneer the use of birds of prey for therapeutic purposes, and have worked with organisations providing support for the deaf, blind, autisim, alzheimers, special needs children, young offenders,
ex servicemen with PTSD and children in care.
Many of our volunteers have disabilities or learning difficulties and use volunteering with us as a stepping stone to gaining employment or a place at college or university.
